Commissions
I accept commissions for solo instruments, concert bands, string and full orchestras, choirs, chamber ensembles, film projects, or virtually any musical ensemble. Please contact me at jordan@jcroberts.org and review the following steps to get started. With over 20 successful commissions completed, I’m excited to help bring your project to life!
Define Your Vision
Consider the purpose of the commission—whether it’s for a specific event, setting, or style. Think about any specific requirements for instrumentation or if you’re open to my creative input, which often results in some of the most dynamic pieces. This information will be crucial in our initial discussions.
Plan for Funding
How will the commission be financed? Options might include school funds, band boosters, donors, patrons, or even a consortium. This step can sometimes be the most challenging, so having a clear plan will be beneficial. I'm happy to help with ideas here!
Consider the Timeline
Establish a timeline for when you’d like to receive the commissioned work and your ideal premiere date. This will help ensure there’s ample time for preparation and any necessary rehearsals.

Relax and Let Me Do My Thing
