Stargazing

Stargazing is a piece for Cello and Fixed Media suing a backing track and video. It was inspired by an evening I spent in Northern Michigan watching the stars above the Mackinaw straits. The whole piece is based on using the G harmonic series as a chord which has an ethereal spacy sound. The background features different triads built from that series coming in and out of focus while the cello soars above it.
